Just got back yesterday from our Maui vacation and just wanted to let you know we were very impressed with the rental rates you were able to acquire for us! We had rented a mini van and midsize sedan for 2 weeks. We were given a Toyota Sienna and Nissan Altima and probably paid almost half the price compared to inquiries we had made on our own via various websites! There were no additional costs above what you had quoted us and we will definitely be letting our friends that travel to Maui know about the great deal we received and hopefully we will be contacting you in the future when we return!! Heather- the online booking was very easy to use. I was happy with the
experience and liked having the price right there. I�d say it works very
well. And- your prices are excellent. I went through a number of services
(including AAA and USAA, a discount program for veteran families) and your
price was still the best. And, a number of the bigger outlets dropped the
unlimited free miles when the drop-off was different from the pick-up.
That was a HUGE selling point. Thanks

Just wanted to thank Ron for working on our rental that came out WAY above our quote. It was fixed when we dropped the car off. :) A HUGE Mahalo to Ron and his contacts at Avis for their assistance in getting this resolved in spite of me not contacting Discount Hawaii Car Rental until 5 or so days AFTER we picked up the car (when, if I had printed out the confirmation email I would have known to contact you within 24 hours of pickup if we had any problems). I have been renting from Discount Hawaii Car Rental for several years and have never had a problem. I believe somehow my work Avis car rental number messed the reservation up somehow. It was such a huge relief to drop off the car and see the correct amount on the receipt. THANK YOU!!!

This is a discount car company based in Hawaii that pulled off a miracle for the Volleyball group. They wanted two 15 passenger vans and there was nothing available, but this company pulled a rabbit out of a hat. Not only that, they are so much cheaper than anything we could book for cars, vans, et. I highly recommend them to you and the staff. I was a little hesitant to use your service without a confirmation that included a major credit card. You know the old saying..."If a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is!" Well in this case, it did seem too good..and it was REALLY good! I hold two different corporate rates with major rental car companies and you were able to save me over 30%! You've been great to deal with. Getting the reservations was easy and the rates were lower than otherwise available. Thrifty was great also. The operation in Kona was ship shape. The people in Honolulu were on top of their game also. In addition, when I brought the van back in HNL, the person checking me in noticed that the computer was charging me a full day for the 4 or 5 hours over the deadline, which I wasn't paying attention to and would not have noticed. She mentioned it to me and when I told her that I was picking up another car, she suggested that I talk to the person inside about waiving that extra day. Ron, I don't know how you guys did it - but, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. I first went to USAA (an insurance company for the military), got their member discounted rate for Avis, Budget and Hertz. I kept the same criteria for everyone to keep it even across the board. Then I went to the other rental agencies and did the same thing. Dollar was $314.13, Enterprise was $272.57, Thrifty was $303.04, and National was $277.08. I did exactly what your web site said to do to compute an approximate total cost and I came up with $177.60. You can't imagine my surprise when your confirmation said it would be $171.87 with none of the extra charges added on in case the wife wanted to use the car one day to go shopping. As you can tell, I love it when I get a DEAL! Thank you so much, Dave D.

I am very impressed with Discount Hawaii Car Rental. (Surprised I haven't heard of it before, we lived on the Big Island in 2006/2007).
I understand about the additions, normally I use my CC since it has it's own insurance coverage etc.
Your prices are unbelievable thru the typical name brand car rental agencies.
You surpass all of my discount coverages, Military, USAA, AAA, AARP, etc.

Looking forward to picking up our car in May at HNL and doing additional business in the near future with you.
I'll be sure to give you some great ratings and reviews.

Just wanted to give my feedback about my car rental. Thanks to you guys for arranging everything for me. I got to the Thrift's car rental and pretty much, just sign the forms and show my drivers license. I had a problem with the trunk not always closing properly on the big gas guzzling Ford Crown Victoria, but they gave me a few dollars off at the end when I told them about it. They were good to deal with and so were you, well done!

I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know how extremely pleased I was with the service I received from "Jewell" at Thrifty Car rental office at Kona airport. I had made a reservation for a Sebring convertible prior to my arrival. Unfortunately, that type of car was not available. Jewell, however went that "extra step" to try to locate a car that would be acceptable. I ended up taking a Jeep temporarily until a car more suitable was returned. She followed up with me on the following day and had me in a PT cruiser which was more suited to my preferences. She provided above and beyond customer service and truly wanted to make sure I was happy with the car rental. My background includes managing offices and people in a service oriented environment. Employees like Jewell are very rare, and I would be extremely fortunate to have more employees like her on my staff. The Car rental agency Thrifty Car Rental, is the best Car Rental Agency we have used. We have been to Maui A good 20 times over the years, and this was the best car rental experience we have had. They were efficient, friendly and pain free. Because their lot is not as big as some, we were helped right away and had an amazing car with 5 minutes. We will definitely use Discount Hawaii Car Rental, but will request Thrifty Car rental for sure.
